Hello! My name is Mr. Martin and I am very excited to be working with you this year! I will be teaching 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies. This year in 6th Grade Social Studies we will be exploring and discovering Human History all the way up to Ancient Greece. In 7th grade Social Studies we will be exploring the Roman Empire all the way to the Age of Exploration.  In 8th Grade we will be learning about U.S. History from the forming of America up to the Civil War and Reconstruction time periods. In Social Studies at the end of each marking period, students will take an Common Assessment. 

All assignments including classwork and homework will be posted on Google Classroom. Some may be completed using a hard copy. Students should have a binder and three sections (Do Nows, Vocab/Study Guides, Classwork). They may share with another class if they would like and it is okay with the other teacher/s. Please click your/your student's class period in order to see the calendar of due dates.

My goals are to enrich a better understanding of chronological events that have shaped the World and United States to provide my students with skills to enhance their studies.
