In order to maintain our valuable and enriching extracurricular activities, while at the same time being mindful of our responsibility to work within the tight fiscal constraints imposed on the district a non-refundable fee for participation in all extracurricular activities, which are non-mandated programs, has been established. Based on the state’s finances and the potential of hard caps being placed on property tax increases, we expect that these fees will be included in all future budgets.

The need for students to pay-to-participate is a direct consequence of the significant budget cuts that Trenton imposed on school districts over the past several years. Instruction must be our primary focus as we continue to help each student develop to his/her fullest potential, thereby preserving the level of academic excellence that we currently offer our children.

Non-Refundable Pay-to-Participate Fees

• For EACH club/intramural/music program.................... $32 per activity
  • In addition, any costs associated with the club (including travel costs) will be paid for directly by students or through fund raising.

• For EACH sport (both cut sports and non-cut sports)... $106 per sport

These fees will be required to be paid through the Payschools system. Provisions for financial support will be made for students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch. Additional, detailed information regarding this pay-to-participate fee requirement will be sent out in August via e-mail, in addition to registration forms, guidelines for participation and a list of activities that will be available to the students.
